I bought one of those chainsaws for my husband from Lowes. I also bought the 3 year warranty with it. After 9 months it would not start. After going around and around with Lowes and Hasq they try to say the oil gas ratio was not right and would not fix it. Apparently from other complaints I have read on the internet that is A common EXCUSE from them not to stand behind their products. A read where several other people got the same lame reply. I will NOT ever buy or recommend Hasqvarna.
I own a Husqvarna 435 chainsaw, and since new-the very first day it has been horrible. The absolute worst experience I have had with a product PERIOD.
It is always extremely hard to start—15-30 pulls following all the proper procedures. Fresh gas/oil mixture, spark plug, and same gas runs other brands perfectly (premium grade).
It has thrown my back out now 3 times trying to start. All service shows no problem, just stubborn start. I now have thrown this piece of —- about 5 times, and now broken the top housing.
Once running I can cut one small log, or branch, it will sputter, and stall out. Then you must repeat the same above procedures until you are blue in the face. Shops haven’t repaired symptoms yet. Maybe faulty fuel line/prime system. Filter new, and such. Will attempt one more time with repair.
